Baños, its name literally translates to “baths”. Baños is blessed with an endless flow of thermal springs, thanks to the Tungurahua volcano’s internal geothermal forces. Those waters, the springlike weather and the spectacular natural setting, have made Baños an unmissable popular outdoor-sports gateaway, where moutain biking, hiking, canyoning among other sports make this town a perfect place for outdoor lovers, although Baños is certainly for everyone looking for fresh air, relaxation and a little bit of adventure

Day 1: Quito to Baños

We will drive 4 hours to the south of Quito through the “Avenue of the Volcanoes” to the colorful town of Baños that lies near the Tungurahua Volcano. On the way we will visit the Cotopaxi National Park where is located the Volcano Cotopaxi. In Banos, We will explore the city and surrounding areas. Overnight.

Day 2: Baños to Quito or your next destination

After breakfast in the morning you will have 2 choices: Continue your trip by bike, down the “Waterfall Trail” to see the spectacular “Devil´s Cauldron”, one of the 10 most beautiful waterfalls in the world, or, if you do not want to bike you can take a Chiva, a typical open-air bus, or go by car. Lunch in Baños and in the afternoon return to Quito.
